The Team 
Commercial Operations. Reporting to Director of Commercial Operations.     
Scope of the Role 
In this role as Sr. Analyst of Commercial Operations & Data Management, you will work closely with the Director of Commercial Operations to support the implementation and documentation of Commercial Operations process improvements and initiatives as well as manage ad hoc analysis requests from the business.    
You will be instrumental in driving best practices, executing on the streamlining processes, proactively managing SF data governance, and supporting the Evaluate Commercial teams such as Operations and Sales. You will also work closely with cross functional teams such as Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Enablement, Legal, IT, Compensation, and the wider Norstella Commercial Operations teams to ensure alignment with Norstella’s objectives and goals.    
Key Goals    
  • Increase process efficiencies, improve sales experience, and contribute to more selling and service time through reduction in manual processes and automation via technology.  
  • Own Salesforce sales data governance and maintenance. Proactively ensure sales data is accurate and consistent for better reporting and improvement of data quality.
  • Ensure smooth operation of day-to-day commercial operations processes at Evaluate.
  • Be the liaison with other support teams to remove bottlenecks from the sales teams.
  • Provide support to Commercial Operations and Sales Team with ad/hoc analysis as needed.
    
You will be responsible for:  
   
Proactive Salesforce data governance and maintenance. 
Proactively ensure sales data is accurate and consistent for better reporting and improvement of data quality. For example: 
  • Salesforce Data governance-addressing issues call out in Salesforce Data Clean Up Needs Document.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Salesforce is up to date for new territory and account assignments.
  • Oversee Opportunity Split Accuracy in SF tied to compensation reporting. Just in time or weekly accuracy on splits for recently closed opportunities as well as pipeline opportunities.
  • Work with Salesforce IT support team to ensure Evaluate’s CRM is supporting the business needs.  
CRM and other operational systems project execution 
  • Manage day-to-day project execution on Salesforce.com and other commercial operations systems including but not limited to development of test scenarios, functional testing and planning and execution of post deployment data migration and systems support to end users.
  • Collaborate with Enablement team to develop end user documentation and deliver training.
Compensation Tracking and Reporting 
  • Understand variable compensation policy and its operational implications.
  • Maintain existing processes for tracking and reporting this within Salesforce.com, for example:
    • Individual rep’s credit attribution via opp splits
    • Multi-year bonus eligibility
    • One-time spot bonus
    • Special scenarios
  • Manage the compensation tracking and updating of the data on an ongoing basis to provide just in time updates in Salesforce.com for Sales, CS and Custom Solutions Specialists accurately for their payout in alignment with the VC policy.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the commercial ops team on accurate reporting of compensation files.
    
Commercial Operations Processes Management, Documentation and Maintenance. 
  • Assist Director of Commercial Operations in the review and update of the commercial operations process deck for Lead to Order to ensure processes are up to date and properly documented. Review required yearly or as needed. For example, but not limited to:
  • Opportunity Management (enablement document for Sales)
  • End-to-end lead routing rules
  • BDR Process
  • Bookings and forecasting process.
  • Change in processes.
    
Ad hoc Commercial Operations support. 
  • Back up support for Commercial Ops inbox for the US hours and urgent enquiries.
  • Back up support to manage the relationship with Legal and Finance to remove bottlenecks for Sales Team.
  • Back up support for analytical ad hoc requests from management.
    
What it takes    
  • You have had experience in a similar data management or analytical role.
  • High level of competence with Salesforce Lightning CRM required.
  • Strong systems project management and execution skills required. 
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (in particular, advanced Microsoft Excel and power point required.)
  • Proactive, detailed oriented, organized, energetic, capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a “can-do attitude”.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving and analytics and turning data and information into insight and action.
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, and influencing skills required.
  • Knowledge of online B2B information services, databases, and analytics tools.
  • Experience working closely with a range of cross-functional teams and conducting probing conversations to understand their roles, key use cases, implicit needs, and current solutions.
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadline constraints.
  • At ease working with international teams, bridging time zones, regional and cultural differences.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000-90,000.00. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
